A very good company is looking for a
Teamlead Software Testing (m/f)
Desired Skills and Experience
They expect that profile:
Your Profile
University education in a relevant technical discipline
Let's put it that way: I was educating in that field at two universities, Austria and Germany
Several years of experience in embedded software development and hardware-related testing If I recall correctly, I could claim to have done that for more than a decade as a side job
Solid know-how in state-of-the-art testing methods and processes
ISTQB certification – Advanced level
I am a certified trainer for all basic and advanced levels
Knowledge of and experience in directing and motivating people; coaching skills required
Having done that job for a net time of 24 years I could probably claim that
Profound understanding of business processes and project management methods
see under previous requirement
Quality-conscious, aware of the need for a good working atmosphere
I would say that I have taught enough about quality
Result-oriented, business-minded
I am so business-minded that I consider the offer as a scandal - see income
Willingness to travel 15% within Europe
Well, I was willing to spend 183 days abroad and there were years when that was actually happening
Good communication skills
Very good command of English and German
I would pass C2-tests in both languages and B2 in another 4 languages
As a growing company that offers interesting tasks as well as a stimulating workplace in a dynamic and technical environment we are looking forward to your on-line application.
I know the company. It is really great, I would acknowledge and agree to that.
The “Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte des Metallgewerbes” (Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade) is applicable.
Why not IT- Collective Aggreement? Although I admit that I was not in a bad situation when I worked under this agreement 36 years ago:)
For the above position we offer a minimum gross salary of 42,000.- Euro per year. An overpayment is determined in accordance with your individual qualification and relevant professional experience.
Well, it would be interesting, what they would offer to me. Actually, 5 years ago, I might have been interested. Nowadays, I will retire in 3 months. I still don't feel good when I read this offer. When I accepted a similar job in 1999, I hat a net gross salary of around 90.000 €. (Although that was still payed in Schillings)
I firmly believe that whoever gets the job would have to have very good capabilities that would entitle him to a much higher salary than listed. And I don't accept that "minimal" phrase. Would they accept somebody who is happy with that "minimal" salary?
